  1. not gonna lie this is driving me nuts my receipt printer is printing one line of code per page.

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}

    it started after the driver update from Canon. ive lost a lot of paper and patience, ive read that this happens when teh driver doesnt match teh printers language, like PCL vs PostScript... how do i check what language my driver is using and which one teh printer expects?? id rather not waste another stack of paper testing. any ideas??

  2. lol same thing happened to me if you added the printer through discovrey, Windows may have picked a similar models drievr. Remove the printer and re-add it with the exact model driver from teh printer makers support page.

    the real fix was the friends we made along the way

  3. ahh classic clear the spooler and stuck jobs: net stop spooler, delete files in C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS, net start spooler. Then power cycle teh printer to clear its buffer.

  4. ahh classic if only PDFs fail, try Print as image in the PDF readers advanced print settings as a workaround while u fix teh driver. worked for me anyway 🤷

  5. oh ive been there lol gibberish usually means the driver is sending a language teh printer doesnt understand (e.g. PostScript to a PCL-only prniter, or a wrong models PCL). In Printer properties > Advanced, check teh driver name and switch to the correct one for your exact model and language.

  6. yeahhh check teh port: a printer added to the wrong IP (another printer on the network) can produce gibberish if it gets jobs for a different model. confirm the IP in Ports matches.
