  1. im literally losing my mind here fun morning... a commercial VPN app won't connect after teh BCM57xx (Windows 2000/XP) update.

I reinstalled the VPN clinet, no change lol The virtual adapter shows in Network Connections, but it looks disabled or missing deatils. Is there a way to reset just the VPN side without wrecking teh rest of my network settings? Id also like to know whether this is smth I should report to IT or to the driver vendor, because I suspect I wont be the only one hitting it.

RAM prices doing their own thing again smh

  2. yeahhh run ipconfig /all and route print while connected. If teh VPN adapter has no IP or no routes, teh client failed to configure it. Check Event Viewer and the VPN clients own log for the error.

  3. ahh classic as a last resort, a Network reset in Settings removes and reinstalls all adaptres including VPN ones. make sure u have the VPN configuration or installer aavilable before doing it. worked for me anyway 🤷

ahh classic MTU problems look exactly like "connected but nothing loads". Test with ping <internal host> -f -l 1300 and lower the size until it works 🔥 if small packets pass and big ones don't, the VPN client may need a lower MTU setting.
