  4. if teh console app went missing with the update, teh jack logic may be partially gone too xD install the full audio package from the motherboard or PC makers support page, which usually includes teh console app through teh Microsoft Store link. lmk how it goes

  6. hmmm check the BIOS: some boards have a front panel type setting (HD Audio vs AC97). If it got reset after a BIOS update or CMOS clear, set it back to HD Audio.

  7. lol same thing happened to me in mmsys.cpl, check whether the front jack shows up as a separate device (often named Headphones), possibly disabeld or disconnected... right-click > Show Disabled Devices and enable it.

  9. ahh classic open teh vendors audio console app (if installed) and look for device adavnced settings or connector settings. theres often an option like Disable front panel jack detection or Make front and rear output devices play two different audio streams. updates can reset these.

  10. hmm idk disabling jack detection is a workaround, not a fix. It works, but youll have to switch outputs manually. just my 2 cents

  11. @sortiz-ts yesss disabling front panel jack detection in the console app made it show up as a separate device. not elegant, but it works fine. seriously made my day 馃槶馃檹
