  1. guys pls help calls with clients now come with a free percussion track 😤 My audio craclkes when moving windows around, through a headset, and started right after a driver update.

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Ive disabled all the sound enhancements i could find, set the power plan to High performance, and rebooted. Its a little better, not gone. Is there a way to see which driver is causing delays? Ive heard about DPC latency but have no idea how to measure it properly. im about to throw this thing out the window lol

  4. run LatencyMon for 10 to 15 minutes while reproducing the crackle. look at Highest reported DPC routine execution time and which driver it names. network, storage and GPU drivers are common culprits, not only teh audio driver. fingers crossed 🤞

  6. open mmsys.cpl > your playback device > Properties > Advanced 🙏 try a different default format (for example 24-bit, 48000 Hz vs 16-bit, 44100 Hz) and untcik Allow applications to take exclusive control as a test. also check the Enhancements tab and disable them. good luck man!

  7. If LatencyMon points to the GPU driver, try a clean GPU driver install with DDU. Bad GPU driver DPCs commonly show up as audio crackle.

at this point my GPU cost more than my car lol

  9. lol same thing happened to me set the power plan to High performance or Balanced with Processor power management > Minimum processor state rasied... aggressive CPU power saving causes buffer underruns that sound like crackle.

  10. oh ive been there lol roll back the audio driver in Device Manager > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver, or install the previous package from teh device or motherboard makers support page. If the crackle disappears, uve confirmed it. fingers crossed 🤞
