    so annoyed rn question for peripheral nerds: for custom DPI on a headset, do you keep teh vendor software installed? ive had issues with Logitech apps after updates before, so Im tempted to set things once and remove teh software... is that realistic, or do you lose too much? curious what uve learned, even a short description of your setup would help a lot. pls help 馃檹

    yeahhh make a backup before u touch teh cable, learned that the hard way. exact same thing happened to my office machine last month

    If the device has on-board memory, save ur profile to it. Many devices keep DPI, lighting and some macros on teh device without the app running. lmk how it goes

    ok so you can keep teh app installed but disable it at startup (Task Manager > Startup apps), open it only when you need to change settings or update firmware. worked for me anyway 馃し

    ahh classic some features need the app running: per-game profile switching, software macros, advanced lighting effects and sync with other devices.

    lol same thing happened to me firmware updates usually need the vendor app. Check occasionally even if u uninstall it, especially for wireless devices. good luck man!

    oof if an app causes problems, check the vendors support page for a lite version or standalone firmware updater.
