on Modern Standby systems, run powercfg /sleepstudy in an admin terminal and open the HTML report. it shows drain per session and which componetns kept the system active. fingers crossed 🤞

It wakes up by itself at night. This started right after the chipset package update from Gigabyte. I realy rely on sleep, since I move between home and office every day. Is there a log or report that shows what woke it up or why it failed? Ive heard of powercfg but never used it. Any help reading teh output would be great, because I suspect Ill get a wall of text. seriously need help here 😭

  3. I installed the chipset package directly from Gigabyte, not the laptop maker. idk what else to say tbh

  4. been there man install teh chipset, Management Engine (if present) and serial IO drivers as a matching set from the PC makers support page. Mixing an updated chipset package with older reltaed drivers is a common source of sleep issues. hope that helps :)

  6. Run powercfg /devicequery wake_armed to list devices allowed to wake teh PC, disable wake on the ones you don't need via Device Manager > device > Power Management > Allow this device to wake teh computer.

  7. @ottom575 works on paper, not in real life. try turning off the settings first, fixed it for me just my 2 cents

  8. If it started exactly with teh update, roll back teh specific device driver or use System Restore. Also check for a BIOS update on the makers page, since sleep behavior is shared between firmware and drivers. lmk how it goes
