not gonna lie this is driving me nuts general question for the people here: when a new audio driver makes things worse (it crackles in games, in my case), how do u get the old one back? im on a work PC runinng smth from Windows 7... id love a method that doesnt involve sketchy driver download sites... also, is there any real risk in running an older audio driver for a while, security-wise or othewrise? id like to understand the trade-off before committing. thx in advance!!

Jump to the replyCheck the PC or motherboard maker's support page first, not just teh chip maker. Many keep older versions under a previous versions or show all link for your specific model.
@loose_hound the old package was still in the driver store. picekd it in Device Manager and done, no downloads needed.
