ok so general question for the people here: when a new audio driver makes things worse (jack detection broke, in my case), how do u get the old one back? im on a gaming laptop running smth from Windows 7.. :) id love a method that doesnt involve sketchy driver download sites, also, is there any real risk in running an older audio driver for a while, security-wise or otherwise? id like to understand the trade-off before committing.
anyone kept the previous xonar hdav1.3 driver installer? the new one isnt working for me
avoid third-party driver download sites and driver updater tools. they often repackage drivers, bundle extra software, or offer the wrong version for your hardware.
