  1. im literally losing my mind here so this is new. Artifacts in 3D apps, and only since updating Sony AW-Q160S (Dell OEM) Firmware from Dell.

    gpu artifacts

Ive already rebooted three times. They dont show up on the BIOS screen as far as i can tell, only once Windows loads. Is that a meainngful clue? Im happy to run tests, i just need to know which ones make sense. i have not overclocked anything on prupose, but i did install a tuning tool a while back. i want to rule out the cheap explanations before i start pricing replacement cards.

  2. ok but do the artifacts show up in BIOS or in Safe Mode, or only in normal Windows?

  4. yeahhh check that teh PCIe power connectors are fully seated and not melted or discolored 🤦 power issues can produce artifacts under load. worked for me anyway 🤷

    it works on my machine™

hmmm if artifacts persist after DDU and an older driver, and even appear in BIOS, back up your data and look into warranty... don't keep stress testing a card that shows artifacts in BIOS. lmk how it goes

  6. hmm idk safe Mode being clean doesnt fully clear the hardware. Safe Mode barely loads the GPU, so a weak card can look fine there. idk maybe im wrong lol
