  1. help!! since the ECS 915G-M(V1.0) Realtek HD Audio Driver 1.88 update, audio on my PC crackles and pops, mostly on voice calls. its like someone is crumpling paper next to the microphone, except its in my headphones. sometimes teh sound briefly turns roboitc and then recovers. i got this message once while poking around:

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    Ive tried another cable, a different USB port, and even another set of headphones. Same crackle. Before the update everything was clean. Is it the driver, or is somethnig else on the system starving teh audio?

  3. If you're on USB audio, try a rear motherboard port rather than a hub or front panel, and disable USB selective suspend under Power Options > Advanced settings. lmk how it goes

  4. yeahhh open mmsys.cpl > ur playback device > Properties > Advanced, try a different default format (for example 24-bit, 48000 Hz vs 16-bit, 44100 Hz) and untick Allow applications to take exclusive control as a test. also check teh Enhancements tab and disable them. fingers crossed 🤞
