Accepted solution by Gabe O. — status monitors and update checkers often run at startup. you can disable them in Task Manager Startup apps if you install the full suite…
  1. ugh. printer software question: for scan to email, do you install teh full vendor suite or just the basic driver? My home inkjet works with the Windows built-in driver already, but Im not sure what Im missing. Id love to hear what others do and whether the extras ever turned out useful lmao Id also like to know if switching later is easy, in case I change my mind and need the full package after all 😅 Mostly I just want something that works and stays out of the way.

  4. oh ive been there lol if you need scanning, check whether Windows built-in scanning works (WIA or driverelss). if it does, you may not need the vednor scan app.

  5. hmmm the basic driver covers printing with most settings (duplex, trays, quality). the full suite adds scanning tools, status monitors, ink alerts, firmware updaters and sometimes cloud features.

  6. Accepted solution

status monitors and update checkers often run at startup. you can disable them in Task Manager > Startup apps if you install the full suite but don't want the background load. fingers crossed 🤞
