Request and question in one: my laptop has a Unknown device without a driver. i installed the chipset package, but its still there. Id love to know how to identify it properly. Is there a reliable way to map it to a specific driver from ASUS or my PC maker? Id really prefer to avoid driver updater tools, so official sources only. Thanks in advance for any pointers.
mystery unknown device in device manager. how to find the right driver

honestly just reset the antivirus and save yourself the pain. which version are you on?? fingers crossed 🤞
my pc fans sound like a jet taking off but sure
lol same thing happened to me download drivers from teh PC or motherboard makers support page for your exact model. Their package lists usually include chipset, ME, serial IO and platform drivers.
lol same thing happened to me honestly just reset the default config and save yourself teh pain
oh ive been there lol if the device works and nothing is broken, leaving it unknown is usually harmless, but installing the right driver can improve power management or sensors. lmk how it goes
leaving it unknown is fine for a while. id prioritize drivers for things u actually use. just my 2 cents
day one patch is bigger than the actual game, classic
