  1. guys pls help every few hours my desktop loses a keyboard, and the USB port stops responding.

Im on the Surface Pro 4 Firmware and Drivers April package from Microsoft. Ive seen ppl mention USB selective suspend, power management, and chipset drivers ;) Id love to understand which one is most likely, because changing all of them at once wont tell me anything. Im happy to test one thing at a time and report back with results. pls help 🙏

  2. hmmm if one heavy device like a game controller drops out, try a powered hub. some ports cant supply enough current, and that can look exactly like a driver problem. good luck man!

roll back the controller driver: Device Manager > USB controllers > USB xHCI Compatible Host Controller > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver. note that the inbox Microsoft xHCI driver is usually used; chipset packages mostly add INF names, but some include actual drivers. hope that helps :)
