mostly work on one pc: one driver branch to rule them all?

  1. ok weird one mixed-use PC here: mostly work. can someone who has tried both branches share their experience?? id love to hear whether it made a real difference for video editing or whether its mostly marketing. i am not chasing benchmark numbers. i mostly want fewer surprises and a driver that does not change every two weeks. if you switched branches, did you notice anything at all, positive or negative?? and would u switch back?? thx in advance!!

have u tried turning it off and on again (im only half joking)

  2. Do you play brand-new releases on launch day?

  3. ahh classic switching branches is easy: download teh other package from teh NVIDIA support page and install it with the clean install option (or DDU if you want to be thorough). your apps dont need reinstalling.

  5. if streaming pays your bills, the stable/studio branch is a sensible default. games still run well on it; you just get new game optimizations a bit later. good luck man!

the real fix was the friends we made along the way

  6. lol same thing happened to me dont hop branches every week. pick one, note the version, and only change when something you need is fixed or added. frequent switching makes troubleshooting harder. lmk how it goes
