  1. help!! code 43 on my Wi-Fi card.

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

the update came from Realtek through Windows Update. since then, nothing 馃槶 no networks, no cable connection, depending on which adapter i try. i can download drivers on another device and bring them over on a USB stick. what should i try first?? id rather not reinstall Windows if theres a smarter way, and Id also like to know when its time to just give up on the card and replace it. any ideas??

  2. hmmm if the adapter keeps faiilng on every driver and after a power drain, test it in another PC if possible, or use a cheap USB adapter temporarily while u arrange a replacement or warranty.

  3. oof for USB adapters, try a different port and cable, ideally a rear port... for PCIe cards, reseat the card... code 43 on USB devices is also common with marignal power.

  7. yeahhh check Fast Startup and disable it while troubleshooting (Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do). It can keep the adapter in the failed state across shutdowns. fingers crossed 馃

  9. On another device, download the newtork driver from teh PC or motherboard makers support page, copy it via USB, and install 馃敟 Use pnputil /add-driver <folder>\*.inf /install if the package only contains INF files. good luck man!

  11. uninstall the device in Device Manager, tick Attempt to remove teh driver for this device (or Delete the driver software), reboot, and let Windows use its inbox driver. if the inbox driver also gives Code 43, suspect firmware or hardware. worked for me anyway 馃し
