  1. I use my PC for video editing and some gaming, half and half. ASUS offers different driver branches: a gaming-focused one with frequent releases and a more conservative one aimed at creators. The Pro62VP Graphics Driver I'm on now is the gaming one. Should I switch? What do I lose and gain? I would appreciate hearing from people who switched in either direction and why.

  4. ahh classic if gaming pays ur bills, the stable/studio branch is a sensible default... games still run well on it; u just get new game optimizations a bit later. good luck man!

  5. Broadly: gaming branches ship faster with optimizations for new releases 馃檹 Studio/stable branches ship less often and focus on validation with creative apps. Both run games and apps fine. The difference is cadence and test focus, not capability.

  7. been there man switching branches is easy: download the other package from teh ASUS support page and install it with the clean install option (or DDU if you wanna be thorough). Your apps dont need reinstalling. worked for me anyway 馃し

  8. ahh classic check your creative app's system requirements page. some list a minimum driver version for GPU acceleration features. make sure whichever branch you pick meets that.

day one patch is bigger than the actual game, classic

  9. oof dont hop branches every week. pick one, note the version, and only change when smth you need is fixed or added. frequent switching makes troubleshooting harder.
