its always while playing an open-world game :) my gaming laptop is not overclocked and temps look normal in the vendor overlay. the only change i can point to is teh Forceware Beta Drivers update from NVIDIA. ive arleady restarted a dozen times, obviously lmao is there a log somewhere that tells me what actually timed out, or am i stuck guessing? im about to throw this thing out the window lol

Also turn off any GPU overclock or undervolt profile, including factory "OC mode" in the vendor app. A new driver can expose an undervolt that was only barely stable before. fingers crossed 🤞

  4. @subnet_gremlin387 omggg it was teh power cable, one daisy-chained cable on a hungry card. swapped to two separate cables and the gaming laptop hasnt blacked out since... lesson learned.
