lol same thing happened to me reset any overclock or undervolt, especially memory clock. artifatcs that look like small colored blocks are often VRAM instability, and a driver update can change memory behavior enough to tip a marginal OC over. worked for me anyway 馃し

  1. I installed the AMD Catalyst Performance Driver 11.11c update last night and this morning my gaming desktop looked like this in games:

    gpu artifacts

little colored blocks, flickering lines, sometimes a whole strip of the screen goes green for a moment. it doesn't crash, it just looks horrible. my stomach dropped because artifacts usually mean dying hardware, right? but it's suspicious that it started exactly after the update. how do i tell which one it is without spending money?

  2. Do they appear in screenshots, or only on the monitor? ??

  3. ok so if artifacts persist after DDU and an older driver, and even appear in BIOS, back up your data and look into warranty. dont keep stress testing a card that shows artifacts in BIOS. hope that helps :)
