Genuine question about update philosophy. My PC is stable on whatever Windows Update installed. The new GeForce Graphics Driver 313.26 for FreeBSD 32-bit lists fixes that don't realy affect me. Do you update anyway for security and compatibility, or do you only update when a game or app needs it?? I mostly do video editing. I am curious how other ppl handle this, especially anyone who depends on their PC for work and cannot afford a broken evening.
Anyone Running The New GeForce Graphics Driver 313.26 For FreeBSD 32-Bit For Video Editing? Real-World Reports Please
ok so nothing in the release notes is critical for me, its mostly game-specific fixes.
my approach: make a restore point, download teh previous driver package so its ready, then try the new one. if anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one ;) that makes updating a low-risk experiment. lmk how it goes
@rafa_late dude updated with a restore point and teh old installer ready. No issues at all for video editing. Good to have a plan instead of fear.
