ok so genuine question about update philosophy. my PC is stable on the driver my PC came with. the new GA-Z77X-UP5 TH Intel VGA Driver lists fixes that dont realy affect me. do you update anyway for secruity and compatibility, or do u only update when a game or app needs it? I mostly do streaming. I am curious how other ppl handle this, especially anyone who depends on their PC for work and cannot afford a broken evening. im about to throw this thing out the window lol
is there any reason to update ga-z77x-up5 th intel vga driver when the driver my pc came with works fine??
hmmm following, having the same problem good luck man!
my approach: make a restore point, download the previous drievr package sooo its ready, then try the new one. if anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one. that makes updating a low-risk experiment.
@packetwrangler nah thats not it, gigabyte has nothing to do with it lmao came here to say exactly this
respectfully disagree, i tried that and it made intel worse but hey ymmv
Read the release notes on teh Gigabyte support page before anything else. They list fixed issues and known issues. If a known issue matches your setup, wait; if the fixes dont touch you, theres no rush.
@nimbussprite-3p5 updated with a restore point and the old installer ready, no issues at all for streaming... good to have a plan isntead of fear. owe u a beer 馃嵑
