    ok weird one i use my PC for video editing and some gaming, half and half. NVIDIA offers different driver branches: a gaming-focuesd one with frequent releases and a more conservative one aimed at creators :) the GeForce Quadro Graphics Driver 304.64 for FreeBSD 64-bit Im on now is the gaming one.. 馃槄 should I switch? what do I lose and gain? I would appreciate hearing from people who switched in either direction and why.

    hmmmm quick q which apps do you use for streaming and gaming, and do they list a recommended driver?

    oof switching branches is easy: download teh other package from the NVIDIA support page and install it with the clean install optoin (or DDU if you wanna be thorough). Your apps dont need reinstalling.

    If streaming and gaming pays your bills, teh stable/studio branch is a sensible default. Games still run well on it; u just get new game optimizations a bit later. fingers crossed 馃

    ok so broadly: gaming branches ship faster with optimizations for new releases. Studio/stable branches ship less often and focus on validation with creative apps. Both run games and apps fine. The difference is cadence and test focus, not capability.

    ive used teh gaming branch for creative work for years without issue. the stable branch is nice, but not mandatory.

    @caleb.torres switched to the stable branch with a clean install. everything works, games included. for half and half, this feels like the right call. u guys are the best!!!
