  1. guys pls help discussion on the grey area of modding in games with online components. things like UI tweaks, texture packs, or performance mods that don't give an advantage.

anti-cheat systems typically cant tell intent, they just see modified files or injected code... how do you decide whats safe, and how do u keep online and modded setups separate??

  2. lol same thing happened to me my rule is simple: if the game has online play with anti-cheat, i only use mods that the developer officially supports, usually through an in-game workshop or mod borwser. anything else stays strictly in single-player games or offline-only modes.

  3. @lambdashed i'd push back a bit on "never mod online games." Plenty of games have ofifcial modding support with online play built in, and avoiding mods entirely means missing some of the best community content. the key is distinguishing official, supported mod paths from unofficial injetcion, not avoiding mods as a category.

Curious what u end up with. worked for me anyway 🤷
