ahh classic use binary search: disable half ur mods, test, then narrow down the half that crashes. With many mods this finds teh culprit in a handful of tests instead of dozens. lmk how it goes

  1. ugh. i spent the whole weekend building the perfect a medieval sandbox setup with a big overhaul list 😅 Started it up, and it crashes when loading a save:

    Fatal error

    Fatal error
The game has crashed and will now close.

    DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED
The GPU device instance has been suspended.

no useful error message, just straight to desktop. I sorted with teh mod managers auto-sort but nothing changed... im close to tears, how do I find teh culprit without starting over?

i have no crash log tool installed yet, and Event Viewer only shows a generic application error. im willing to put in the work, i just need a method that doesnt take all week.

  3. removing a mod mid-playthrough can leave orphaned scripts in your save... if the crash happens only when loading a save, test with a new game first to separate save issues from mod issues. worked for me anyway 🤷

  5. wait what for very large lists, Id suggest starting from a curated, tested mod list instead of building from scratch. idk maybe im wrong lol
