I pay for a 2.5G router and my gaming desktop is wired, but speed tests top out at roughly 95 Mbps... windows says the link speed is 100/100 Mbps... thats suspicious, because before the Intel Network Adapter Driver Complete Package update it showed 1000 and I was getting full speed. heres what the adapter status looks like:

USB Audio Device Properties
Device status:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
i havent touched the cable or the router. Can a driver update really change the negotiated speed, or is it a coincidence and something physical is going on?
