Half And Half On One PC: One Driver Branch To Rule Them All?

    Mixed-use PC here: half and half. Can somenoe who has tried both branches share their experience?? Id love to hear whether it made a real difference for 3D modeling or whether its mostly markteing. I am not chasing benchmark numbers. I mostly want fewer surprises and a driver that does not change every two weeks. If u switched branches, did you notice anything at all, positive or negative? 😅 And would you switch back?

    15 tabs open and chrome ate all 32GB of ram again

    no real problems sooo far, it's preventive. I just don't want surprises during a project. hope thats enough info 😅

    lol same thing happened to me check your creative app's system requirements page, some list a minimum driver version for GPU acceleration features... make suree whichever branch u pick meets that. worked for me anyway 🤷

    switching branches is easy: download the other pcakage from teh NVIDIA support page and install it with the clean install option (or DDU if u wanna be thorough) 🤦 your apps dont need reinstalling. worked for me anyway 🤷

    im literally losing my mind here told my boss it would take 10 minutes. its been 20 minutes thx in advance!!

    Don't hop branches every week. Pick one, note the version, and only change when something you need is fixed or added. Frequent switching makes troubleshooting harder. worked for me anyway 🤷

    If plain office work with occasional games pays ur bills, the stable/studio branch is a sensible default. Games still run well on it; you just get new game optimizations a bit later.

    broadly: gaming branches ship faster with optimizations for new releases. studio/stable branches ship less often and focus on validation with creative apps 🔥 both run games and apps fine. the difference is cadence and test focus, not capability.
