  1. guys pls help woke up, opened my site, and isntead of my homepage theres one grey sentence:

i think it happened after an ovrenight auto-update... wp-admin shows teh same message, so i cant log in to undo anything. i suspect a WooCommerce add-on cuz it updated recently, but Im not suree, i have FTP access through my host... whats the safest way to get the site back without losing cnotent?? step-by-step answers would be amazing, my hands are literally shaking a bit.

  2. lol same thing happened to me turn on logging to see teh actual error. In wp-config.php, above the line that says to stop editing, add define('WP_DEBUG', true);, define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true); and define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);, reload teh site, then read wp-content/debug.log... the fatal error line names the file, which tells you which plugin or theme is responsible.

  3. lol same thing happened to me if it started after a PHP version change, an older plugin or theme may use functions removed in newer PHP. The debug log will show something like 'Call to undefined function'. Switch PHP back temporarily in the host's control panel, then update or replace the incompatible plugin before upgrading PHP again. good luck man!

  4. make a backup before u touch the extension, learned that the hard way

  5. id restore the last backup first and investigate on a staging copy... for a business site, getting back online fast matters more than finding teh cause live. just my 2 cents
