Question for the group: how do you handle form builders? As a two-person agency, I cant justify enterprise prices, but Ive been burned by free tools that disappeared or changed their terms. Is self-hosting worth the maintenance, or is a small subscription the sane choice? Id rather pay a little each month than lose data or time later. Real-world setups appreciated. Horror stories are welcome too, theyre often the most useful part. any ideas??
The form builders tool youd never give up (asking as a two-person agency)
For transactional email, separate it from marketing email. Use a dedicated service or subdomain so a newsletter complaint spike doesn't hurt password resets and invoices. hope that helps :)
ok but any update on this? ??
ok so start with the smallest tool that solves teh actual problem. many teams buy an all-in-one suite and use ten percent of it. A simple tool you actually use beats a powerful one nobody configured.
lol same thing happened to me self-hosting looks free but youre paying with maintenance time 🤦 for monitoring and backups specifically, i prefer an external service: if ur server dies, a self-hosted monitor on the same server dies with it.
sec_error_expired_certificate on the clients landing page. auto-renew was supposed to prevent this!
