is frame generation real performance or just a fancy illusion?

  1. ahh classic bump. still happening with frame-generation for me. wait does this also apply to frame-generation?

  2. A common rule of thumb: you want a solid base frame rate before turning it on. below roughly 60 FPS base, artiafcts and latency become more noticeable :D above that, many ppl cant tell teh difference.

  3. watch for artifacts around HUD elements, text and fast motion edges. some games handle those well, others show ghosting, and that varies per title more than per GPU.

  4. hmmm pair it with a latency reduction fetaure like NVIDIA Reflex or AMD Anti-Lag. Most implementations enable it automatically, but check the in-game settnigs. good luck man!

  6. hmmmm not sure about that respectfully disagree, i tried that and it made latency worse. make a backup before u touch the firmware, learned that teh hard way but hey ymmv

  9. lol same thing happened to me use a frame rate cap slightly below your monitors refresh rate with VRR enabled.. 🤦 generated frames above the refresh rate are wasted and can increase latency. lmk how it goes

  10. yeahhh for competitive shooters most players keep it off. Latency and occasional artifacts around fast-moving UI or crosshairs matter more than smoothness there. hope that helps :)
