oof for Wi Fi + Bluetooth combo cards, update both dirvers from the same source and generation. Mixing an old Bluetooth driver with a new Wi Fi drievr can cause odd issues. the real fix was the friends we made along the way

lol same thing happened to me for programming, satbility matters more than the newest game optimizations. if theres a separate stable/studio/recommended branch, thats usually the better fit.
