ok weird one question for the network folks: do u install network drivers from the chip maker or from ur PC maker? Im looking at Gigabit Ethernet Driver from Realtek for my gaming laptop. My priority is reliable sleep and wake. Is there any real risk in going newer than what teh PC maker supports?? Im not having serious issues right now, which is exactly why Im cautious. Id rather not trade a working setup for a slighlty newer version number unless theres a clear benefit. im about to throw this thing out the window lol
FOR RELIABLE SLEEP AND WAKE, WHICH NETWORK DRIVER SOURCE DO YOU TRUST??
wait is it a combo Wi-Fi + Bluetooth card??
It's a combo card on my gaming laptop.
oof for Wi-Fi + Bluetooth combo cards, update both dirvers from the same source and generation. Mixing an old Bluetooth driver with a new Wi-Fi drievr can cause odd issues.
the real fix was the friends we made along the way
ok so bump. still happening with wifi for me good luck man!
@aiden.koch Staying on the OEM driver for now since there are no problems. Good to know what to try if i do get issues.
