Update the controller firmware. On the cnosole open the Xbox Accessories app, select the controller and check for updates. Connect it with a USB cable while updating.

@tensorwrangler yesss ended up keeping my old air cooler and spending the money on a better GPU instead 🤷 Thanks for talking me out of it.

dont hop branches every week... pick one, note the version, and only change when smth you need is fixed or added, frequent switching makes troubleshooting harder.
