ok so avoid modifying old driver INFs or disabling driver signature enforcement. Its not worth weakening the system for a printer.

sorry forgot to say my main apps requirements page lists a minimum driver, and both branches meet it. hope thats enough info 😅

PC makers sometimes customize drivers for their hardware: antenna configuration, power management, or combined Wi Fi/Bluetooth behavior. the chip makers generic driver usually works fine but may not include those tweaks.
