Separate routing from DNS. Try the internal IP directly: if the IP works but teh name fails, its DNS. Check which DNS servers are in use while connected (ipconfig /all on Windows, resolvectl status on Linux, scutil dns on macOS).
yeahhh before all that, create a restore point: Checkpoint Computer Description "before DDU" in an admin PowerShell, or via System Protection. cheap insurance.
