been there man hotel and guest networks sometimes block UDP or specific ports. if teh client claims connected but no handshake data flows, try teh TCP/443 fallback mode if ur VPN offers one. fingers crossed 🤞

    browsing teh regular internet still works. my colleagues in the office are fine. ive reconnected five times, is it me or the VPN?

    My home setup is a fairly standard ruoter from the internet provider, nothing special :) Im not a network person, sooo a step-by-step check would help a lot. i just need to get to the file share before my meeting. im about to throw this thing out the window lol

    Separate routing from DNS. Try the internal IP directly: if the IP works but teh name fails, its DNS. Check which DNS servers are in use while connected (ipconfig /all on Windows, resolvectl status on Linux, scutil --dns on macOS).

    lol same thing happened to me MTU issues cause connects but big tihngs hang: pings work, websites half-load, file copies stall. Lower the tunnel MTU (WireGuard MTU = 1380, for example) and test with ping -f -l 1350 <ip> on Windows to find the working size.

    @cipher_deck153 WOWWW added the internal DNS server and seacrh domain to teh WireGuard config.. 😭 names resolve and teh file share opens. cant believe it was that simple lol
