hmmm re pair properly: press teh pair butotn on teh console, then hold teh pair button on teh controller until the Xbox button flashes fast. do this after the firmware update.
ok this thread just saved my weekend. which version are you on??
ok so switching branches is easy: download the other package from the AMD support page and install it with the clean install option (or DDU if you want to be thorough). your apps dont need reinstalling. hope that helps :)
wait dumb question but how do i even check teh default config ??
hmmm if programming pays your bills, teh stable/studio branch is a sensible default... games still run well on it; u just get new game optimizations a bit later.
ps i come back to this thread every week just for teh drama. +1 same here :)
hmmm DDU isnt dangerous if u use it as intended, in Safe Mode, with a restore point first. The real risk is running it in normal mode with the network on and letting Windows race u to install a driver mid cleanup.
sequence that works: 1) download teh older package from the NVIDIA support page and DDU, 2) disconnect the network , 3) boot into Safe Mode (Settings Recovery Advanced startup Troubleshoot Advanced options Startup Settings), 4) run DDU,…
hmmm if you need scanning, check whether Windows built in scanning works (WIA or driverless). If it does, you may not need the vendor scan app. fingers crossed 🤞
The basic driver covers printing with most settings (duplex, trays, quality). The full suite adds scanning tools, status monitors, ink alerts, firmware updaters and sometimes cloud features. good luck man!
wait is it a home setup or an office with several PCs? DNS. its always DNS
on desktops with decent external speakers or a DAC, the generic driver is a perfectly fine choice, and it tends to survive Windows updates without drama. fingers crossed 🤞
