pro tip: write down what u change... i didnt and had to redo curl from scratch, wait does this also apply to terminal?
oh ive been there lol these are third party community services, so dont build anything critical on them... they can be rate liimted or temporarily unavailable.
hmmm whatever u decide, set up a real backup today. A second drive with a scheduled copy, or File History, or robocopy /MIR in a scheduled task. A cheap drive is fine if losing it costs you nothing.
yeahhh also updtae teh drive firmware with the vendors SSD tool if the brand has one.. 😅 some health warnings are firwmare reporting bugs, but only trust that explanation if teh venodr actually documents it. hope that helps :)
@wrenq213 wowww ok took ownership of teh copied folder, gave my user full control, and teh udpate went straight through 0%. thanks everyone.
ok so controlled folder access is on. I turned it on months ago and completely forgot about it. hope thats enough info 😅
been there man wired for anything latency sensitive, wireless for everything else. Modern wireless mice are fine for most people, but keep a cable handy.
@rowan night Disabled selective suspend and the root hub power saving. No disconnects in a week... a keyboard works reliably now.
