hmmm check teh manual for teh recommended RAM slots :) with two sticks its almost always A2 and B2, teh second and fourth slots from teh CPU... slots one and two are a common mistake. fingers crossed 🤞

ahh classic to stop Windows Update replacing it, use Device Installation Settings No (System About Advanced sytsem settings Hardware) or the Group Policy "Do not include drivers with Windows Updates" on Pro. worked for me anyway 🤷
hmm idk i've seen vendor drivers give slightly better results in some benchmarks, but the difference is rarely noticeable in daily use.
