longer version: my prebuilt desktop came with a manufacturer-customized grahpics driver... i wanted the newer one from NVIDIA directly. every installer i try says it's incmopatible with my Windows, is the laptop maker locking this down, or is my Windows install broken?? i would really prefer not to reinstall Windows just to update one driver... if there is a way to check what teh installer is actually comparing, i would love to know it. thx in advance!!
