i'd add an automated chain check to monitoring. An external TLS scan after every reenwal would have caught this before customers did. just my 2 cents

wait what id test in a second PC if u can. Its the only test that realy separates the card from everything else. just my 2 cents

For next time: run firmware updates on AC power (and with a charged battery on laptops), close other apps, and suspend BitLocker beforehand if you use it.
