for a single SSD, AHCI vs RAID mode makes little practical speed difference, switch only if you have a reason (like Linux compatibility). lmk how it goes

if you end up in a loop, switch the BIOS back to the original mode. windows boots again and you can retry carefully. nothing is lost by flipping it back.
