@leaq123 turned out the laptop was using teh integrated GPU for part of the game. forced high performance and its fine now. thx!

ok so switching branches is easy: download teh other package from the NVIDIA support page and install it with the clean install option (or DDU if you want to be thorough). ur apps dont need reinstalling. worked for me anyway 🤷

look at teh game's own crash logs too. many engines write a log with DXGI ERROR DEVICE HUNG vs DEVICE REMOVED vs DEVICE RESET, hung usually means a tmieout; removed can also mean the card actually dropped off the bus, which points at…

The built in driver shows most settings, but not all of them.
