nah tbh i'd look at the access point before teh laptop... if a single client fails DHCP, check teh DHCP pool isn't exhausted; one device is often just the first one to notice.

ok so check for a static IP or old proxy setting: the adapters IPv4 properties should be on Obtain automatically, and netsh winhttp show proxy plus Settings, Proxy should be empty unless your company uses one.
