been there man also turn off any GPU overclock or undervolt porfile, including factory "OC mode" in the vendor app. A new driver can expose an unedrvolt that was only barely stable before.

For competitive games, stability matters more than teh newest game optimizations. If theres a separate stable/studio/recommended branch, thats usually the better fit. hope that helps :)
