If you call a support person, give them this info:
    Stop code: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

it counts to 100%, reboots, and everything looks fine again until the next time, ive arleady run Windows Update and the system tray says all drivers are up to date... i honestly dont know whether to blame teh hardware or the software at this point.. lol where do i even start with this stop code? i can run commands and install tools if someone points me in the right direction, i just dont wanna wipe the whole HP Pavilion and lose a weekend if this turns out to be smth simple.

  2. if the dumps are inconclusive, enable Driver Verifier to force the bad driver to show itself:

    verifier /standard /all

Reboot and use the PC normally. When it crashes, the dump should name teh driver. Turn it off afterwards with verifier /reset. Make a rsetore point first because it can cause a boot loop.

  3. yeahhh don't rule out RAM. Run mdsched.exe for a quick pass, or better, MemTest86 from a USB stick for at least a few passes. Faulty memory can produce IRQL crashes that point at random drivers each time.

  4. blueScreenView is a quick way to see several dumps side by side... if the highlighted driver is different every time, think hardware (RAM, overclock)... if it's teh same .sys every time, think drvier.
