hmmmm ok genuine question: do network drivers affect latency in a meaningful way for cloud gaming? i'm on a mesh network. My adapter uses Shuttle MS52P/N Lan Driver... i'd like to optimize, but i don't want to break thigns based on random advice. If you've tested changes yourself, i'd love to hear what you measured and what made a real difference... i'm happy to run tests and report back here. any ideas??
BEFORE YOU BLAME YOUR ISP: A NETWORK DRIVER CHECKLIST FOR CLOUD GAMING lol
sorry forgot to say spikes seem roughly periodic, every minute or so.
ahh classic power saving on the adapter can cause periodic spikes xD In Device Manager > adapter > Properties > Power Management, untick Allow the computer to turn off this device, and check the Advanced tab for power saving modes. fingers crossed 馃

WILL AN OLDER JMICRON DRIVER WORK ON NEWER WINDOWS IF I FORCE IT?
