i was updating the desktops BIOS using the ALiveNF5SLI-1394 Bios package from ASRock. then teh fans went to full speed 😂 since then, black screen. im reasonably technical but Ive never had to recover a BIOS 😤 is this repairable at home? the keyboard lights flash briefly when i press power, then nothing. i have another computer available to download files and prepare a USB stick if a recovery procedure needs it. i just dont wanna make things worse by guessing. any ideas??

  2. if its under warranty, contact support before opening anything. A failed official update is usually covered, and some recovery steps need tools u dont have.

  6. wait what don't use third-party flashing tools. If official recovery fails, warranty support is the safer path.
