check Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System around the disconnect time for events from USBHUB3, USBXHCI or Kernel-PnP, errors there point to the controller driver or power issues. fingers crossed 馃

  1. USB is acting cursed on my work PC.

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}

    a USB hub drops out at random, and the port stays dead until a restart. i updated teh chipset driver from ASRock last week, and thats when it started. i checked Device Manager and sometimes a USB controller shows a warning. What sohuld i look at first? Ive already tried another cable and a different device in the same port. Id rather not replace teh motherboard if a setting can fix it. any ideas??
