    hmmmm ok peak modern life: my smart dishwasher failed a software update... i came home and it keeps beeping every ten minutes.

    i'm half laughing and half worried, because teh coffee i need to function depends on this thing working. Is there a standard way to recover appliances from a failed update, like a reset, or is this always a service call?? i really don't want to throw out all that food. thx in advance!!

    Is it connected over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and how far is it from ur router??

    hmmm try a full power cycle: unplug it or switch off teh breaker for a few minutes, then power on, many appliances retry or roll back a failed firmware update on teh next boot. lmk how it goes

    If it stays stuck, cnotact the manufacturer and mention that the failure happened during their update. Failures caused by official updates are often handled under warranty or as a goodwill repair. fingers crossed 馃

    First check whether teh core function still works. On most smart appliances the connected module is separate from teh part that cools, washes or heats. A thermometer in teh fridge tells you quickly whether ur food is actually at risk. good luck man!

    Honestly, i'd disconnect it from the network permanently afterwards... u don't need your smart fridge talking to the internet.

    @yusuf_packet-2ii wowww ok fixed, and now permanently offline. my smart dishwasher is dumb again and Ive never been happier. cant believe it was that simple lol
