  1. i'm out of ideas.

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    thats my USB-to-serial adapter in Device Manager... code 43 appeared after moving the PC... i tried rolling back the driver, but the button is greyed out :) the same device works perfeclty on my laptop, so the hardware should be fine... if its a driver problem, Id like to fix it properly... if its hardware, Id like to know sooo i can stop wasting time, either answer would be a rleief at this point. im about to throw this thing out the window lol

  2. been there man if Windows Update keeps pushing a driver that causes Code 43, pause updates, install the vendors driver, and use teh Show or hide updates troubleshooter to block that specific driver.

  5. Accepted solution

    List problem devices and their driver packages from an elevated prompt:

    pnputil /enum-devices /problem
    pnputil /enum-drivers

    u can remove a stale package with pnputil /delete-driver oemNN.inf /uninstall.
