IS A CHEAP USB BLUETOOTH DONGLE ACTUALLY BETTER THAN THE BUILT-IN ONE?

  1. im literally losing my mind here my wireless earbuds keep disconnecting from my PC roughly every five minutes. The sound cuts out, the reconnect chime plays, and sometimes it doesn't come back at all. Device Manager shows this after one of teh drops:

On my phone the same wireless earbuds are flawless for hours. i've re-paired them, restarted, and updated Windows. It makes calls basically impossible. i've also tried turning Bluetooth off and on, and remvoing and re-adding the device. It works for a while every time, then teh same pattern starts all over again.

  2. ahh classic most built-in Bluetooth is on the same combo chip as Wi-Fi and shares the 2.4 GHz band. If ure on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, switch to 5 GHz. Heavy downloads on 2.4 GHz can crowd out Bluetooth audio.

  3. dumb question but how do i even check teh cache

  4. ahh classic device Manager > Bluetooth > your adapter > Power Management: untick Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power... do the same for teh Wi-Fi aadpter, since its the same chip.

  9. hmmm remove the device from Settings > Bluetooth & devices, also remove any duplicate entries under Device Manager (View > Show hidden devices), then pair again from scratch. hope that helps :)

  14. yeahhh install the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi drivers from your laptop or motherboard makers support page. Windows Update often provides a generic version that works but is less stable.
